Those little Things

Now when you read the title of this post you might think of the little things that you appreciate people do for you or the little things that really make a difference but I mean the little things I very strongly dislike. Its isn't a big deal, but today I had to walk home with my really really heavy violin and my back hurt and it was hot but I also REALLY really had to go to the bathroom! Now how is that for those little things that really make you irritated. I guess it shows how blessed I am to have someone take me home everyday!

Butterflies

Yesterday in church Mariah and I preformed a musical number called Love is Spoken Here and Mariah sang and I played the violin. Even though I had gotten all of my music down and stuff I was just so scared. When I got up on the stand my heart was pounding so hard! Good thing everybody likes Mariah and I so no one would give us a hard time if we mess up!

Bite the Bullet

I just thought Lucy was getting very long haired and was shedding a little bit so groomed her today. After my soccer game (I lost 1-0) we went and bought some scissors and thinging scissors and then I got to work.

First, I gave her a bath.

Then I cut her hair so she didn't look like a shaggy dog!

Finished product. I don't know if I am a pro groomer yet but practice makes perfect!

Okay so tonight I was doing the dishes and when I was about to put the salt and pepper away i dropped the salt shaker and it shattered on the kitchen floor. I don't know why but it really made me sad like it was TRAGIC that I was broken. I also really didn't want to do the dishes so I kinda felt blue.

This reminds me of the poem by Shel Silverstein:

If you have to do the dishes

such an awful, boring chore.

If you have to do the dishes

stead of going to the store

If you have to do the dishes

and you drop one on the floor...

maybe you won't have to do the dishes anymore.

If only this was so!

Man! Carnegie Hall is AMAZING!! I spent Thursday-Monday in New York having a great time rehearsing, seeing a show, going to the Empire State Building, enjoying a cruise, and SHOPPING!
I even went to a store called Strawberry where I got an adorable new skirt and shirt that are green and blue! I also saw Lion King which was fAnTaStIc, especially Rafiki, who was from South Africa!

This is my choir in Carnegie Hall. You aren't suposed to take pictures but Dad is a photographer and he couldn't help his finger taking a few shots!
There is me in the middle next to the red head girl. We all look a little worn out and impatient because we had to stand in one place for 35 minutes and it hurt your legs A LOT!

This is the person who made the whole trip happen. She is my conductor for Carnegie, but not for regular Fairfax Choral Society. She scheduled everything and really did a GREAT job!
