Dramatic!

Last week I went to a drama camp at Robinson. It was so fun. My first impression was that it was a little young. It was 2nd to 8th graders so I was the oldest in the whole camp but I did have two of my really good friends there with me. We played acting games, learned how to do some make up, played with stage blood, danced, and performed a play. For our age group we did the 12 Dancing Princesses for our play. I was the main character named Elise (She is the youngest princess who is on the cover of the book in yellow). It was so fun to learn lines, blocking, and acting techniques. When it came time to perform I realized that I have only performed like 3 times in plays/musicals and Mom and Dad have missed 2 of them! :-( Hopefully I will have many a part to come so they will see me a lot in plays. Over all, drama camp was really fun and it was especially exciting to have Mariah a counselor there with me.

I am so Proud!

So I am terrified of roller coasters but after going to Busch Gardens with my friends last month I suggested that our family went there! It was a really fun day because we went everywhere doing everything. Trust me this place is SO FUN! I wasn't expecting to go on any roller coaster except the one I loved last time but then Truman, Mariah, and Dad went on Alpenguist! I was too scared the first time but when they came off they told me it was REALLY fun and easy. So I went on it. It goes down, corkskrews, goes upside down, etc. and I was having a blast!!!! When I got off I couldn't stop laughing! I was hyped up on adrenaline, excitement, and fear. I couldn't make my self stop laughing. And it wasn't even just a normal laugh. It was a high pitched, wavery giggle. I ended up going on it 4 times!!!!!! It was so fun but I was dizzy after that!

I cannot express how excited I am that I am finally out of school. School was fun but summer is SO fun!!!!!! Can't wait to see you all in August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(don't you like how many exclamation points I use?)

New Shoes

Okay, I think there is something wrong with this picture:
Mariah needed some cute new shoes for her graduation so after taking her out to lunch at Bombay Bistro, we went to DSW. I love this shoe store because it feels like there is an endless supply of any kind of shoe you are looking for! So when I saw a shoe I liked I wanted to try it on so I looked through the boxes until I found the 7 1/2 box and took it out. My foot would not fit! This shows how long it has been since I went shoe shopping. I wanted to see my size so I wouldn't have to try billions of shoes on so I used one of the metal measurers. I put my heal onto it and slid some things around and found out that I am a 9 to a 9 1/2!!!! Where did that come from??!?!? I still fit into some of my size 7 shoes and all of a sudden I am 2 sizes up!!! I like my size of 7 1/2 and I am sad that I am all of a sudden BIG FOOT! But on the upside, I got some new cute flats!

Big Kick!

Yesterday was Saturday and I had such a great time. It got up to 100 degrees at my soccer game but I played my hardest. We had wet rags, misters, and water bottles strewn everywhere on the side line as I raced down the field with the ball. My coach put me in as forward and by the end of the game I had scored 2 out of the 2 goals. Since this was the playoffs and it ended as a tie, we had a penalty kick off. Our team won the kick off and won the game!! This is like the first game we have won in a LONG time and it made me feel aMaZiNg!! I got a little sunburnt but there was no time to go home because our team had a soccer party after the game at the coach's house! The party was so fun. We had pizza and chips and cookies and salad and we got patches (we are getting the trophies next week) and then we had a WATER FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! There was water balloons, two hoses, and a sprinkler and I got SOAKED!!!! It was so fun to have such a good time with my team as well as such a good time with my Bestest friend Kate Fosse! She was the one who really got me wet. In the evening we went to Macaroni Grill with her and her Mom and that was really good and then we distracted ourselves by laughing A LOT!!! We were scared because there was like lightning flashing every second and there was no rain or thunder so we were under a blanket laughing trying to get our mind away from it. Saturday was sooooooo fun!!

Up in the Night

Who knew that children's medicine could have such an impact! Last night I was feeling kind of congested and so Dad gave me some medicine that was for kids and a couple hours later I felt the same. We watched a movie and went to bed around midnight and it was still just the same. I was really tired so I quickly fell asleep. I was excited for a good night's rest because I had the morning off of school because of testing. I found myself waking up at 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30 and then just staying awake. So much for sleeping in! And the funny part is, I am not even tired even though I had almost no sleep at all. The medicine really kicked me in the head!!
