This afternoon I auditioned for the Middle School musical Bye Bye Birdie!! It was so nerve racking. I waited all day which seemed really short because we had a 4 hour delay for verterans day and then I went to a smaller theater in my school called Davala Hall. I entered a quiet room and it made me more nervous just to sit there and think. It didn't take very long to wait because school ends at 2:05 and my audition was at 2:45. I just kept breathing deeply and then getting butterflies and shivering and laughing (which are my nervous signs). We waited outside the door for 15 minutes and then we entered onto the stage. I was in a group of 10 people so it wasn't as bad because I wasn't alone. I was the 6th person to go up and preforme. I stood confidently and said, "Hi, my name is Michaela Proctor and I will do my song first." I started my song which was Jimmy from Thouroughly Modern Millie and then I just froze and stopped singing. "Am I drunk. Or maybe I'm dreaming...uh" My confidence level went 10 times down but I just asked to start over and did fi

ne. I think I froze up when I looked the judges in the eyes. This is my monologue:Kim MacKafee, what do you mean you are resiging from the fan club. I mean, just because Hugo Peabody gave you his pin doesn't mean you have to retire from all social life. Going steady is a very important thing, but some things are more important that very important and the Conrad Birdie Fan Club is one them. I mean, after all, where else can we girls gather together to worship that wonderful creature. I mean, do you realize what you are giving up, Kim? You are giving up the scream. You mean when Conrad Birdie sings, on television you won't go AAAAA(scream)!!!! Oh Kim!
I am hoping to get the part of Usela (the main characters best friend). I think overall everything went well. I will be excited to find out if I am called back on Thursday and then if I am casted on Friday. I will come out to Utah and tell you all the news!

Oh Good luck! The wait after an audition is always the worst!
I have seen your audition many times, and I would cast you for sure and I am not just saying that because I am your Mom or because I am crazy about you though I am both, but because you are really, really good.
Good luck. I bet you did a great job!!
guess what? i tried out for bye bye birdie when i was in seventh grade...i was put in the chorus but didn't end up being in it, it conflicted with my dance classes but i thought that was cool.
