Frying Pan Farm

Friday, July 11, 2008

Yesterday Mom, Angie, and I took the kids to a place called Frying Pan Farm Park. It was a really great, kid friendly place. We took a ride on a tractor around the whole farm where we saw horses jumping, deer in the woods, and crops growing in the fields. We also saw pigs, goats, horses, cows, chickens, a bunny, a peacock, some turkeys, and some ducks. The kids loved seeing everything and they also got a little toy at the Farm Shop. We ended the day with ice cold water and popsicles while we ran around on the grass and raced. Mitchell screamed in the car and then all of a sudden he dropped off. It was the cutest thing to watch his eyes get heavier and heavier. We sang farm songs all the way home.

It seems kind of funny to me to go to a farm to see what it's all about because I grew up with farm animals and such, but I guess my amazement at some aspects of city life are not out of the ordinary to city dwellers. I'm so glad you guys are enjoying time together!
