On Monday at school we did a very fun thing. Since all year we have been studying American and most recently we have been studying the Civil War. All the moms got together and filled up 600 water balloons so we could have our "Balloon Battle" I was a Confederate and each day we got 6 points. We were also split into regiments and averaged out our point every week. At the end, each point counted as a balloon. I got soaked being one of the 2 survivors in the war. We couldn't get hit or we died. I got splashed a lot and afterwards we had some extra balloons. I got pounded in the chest with one and was dripping wet. It was a lot of fun. I love getting wet....expecially when you don't normally have a balloon fight at school!!

As one of the moms who filled up water balloons, I am impressed that 600 got filled up. It isn't easy--because tying the end into the end of a teeny, tiny balloon with a small piece of rubber wrapped tightly around your finger, cutting off circulation, takes more skill than you'd think. We didn't mean to squirt each other, but every once in awhile the balloon shot water out of control and we were all soaked at the end.
