This Friday I had the last day of Girl Scouts party. It is crazy to think I have been doing Girl Scouts for 7 years now, and now it is all over. I decided I was going to stop in Middle School. We had a sleep over and it was so much fun. We started out by going to an indoor pool since we had a thunderstorm here in Virginia. The pool was one of the funnest I have ever been to. It had 2 water slides, one open that stayed inside, and one that was a tunnel that twirled outside and then came back in. At first I was kinda scared because I haven't really been on a water slide before, and then when I went on it, I wanted to go 10 more times. There was also a lazy river that I went through many times and a whirl pool that made you go around in circles.
After washing our hair in the showers, we headed to one of my leaders' homes. On the way there we experienced some light rain and lighting. I am still a kid, so it is ok that I am scared of lighting :-). When we got to the house we changed into our pjs and started playing in my leader's basement. Her daughter is in the troup so it is all stuff for kids and adults. Their basement was AMAZING! When you first walk down the stairs you walk to you left and there is a dart board and a map of the US under it. You can aim for the board or a paticular state. Then you turn the corner and there is a pool table with a fun pool stick holder. Next to it there is a really cool pin ball machine. It was like an arcade, they had 2 pin ball machines, a pac man machine, and a juke box. They also had a bar place with high stools and fun decorations. Then the TV room had big, fluffy couches and a big screen TV on the wall. To the side of the TV, painted on the wall, are football player "passing" a football over the TV.
After getting familiar with her basement which was the place we were sleeping, we came upstairs for some s'mores. Since it was stormy outside, we made it over a candle sort of thing that was ment for marshmellows. Then we moved back down stairs for a movie. We watched Get A Clue. This movie is based on the book the Westing Game and it is a mystery. Although it was a great movie, I have to admit, I started falling asleep during it. After a long night of fun, we finally went to bed at about 2am.
I woke up the next morning at 7am and was very tired from our fun, late night. We had to get up thought because the leaders were going to take us out to IHOP for breakfast. We drove there and I had a yummy breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. After the wonderful meal, we drove back the our leader's house and waited for our parents. I was a fun sleepover but also sad because it is the last thing I will do in Girl Scouts.

i am glad you have enjoyed girl scouts so much babe. i was also a girl scout for a couple of years and i got to go away to camp in the summer to the same place that mom went to when she was a young girl. it was called camp cloud rim. it is no longer around, it burned down some years ago, but it is a fun memory of mine...
You have had great Girl Scout leaders who really knocked themselves out to make this a memorable part of your childhood. I remember singing at the national Girl Scout sing along at the national mall, your singing at the national Christmas tree, camp outs--especially the Hogwarts camp, your Italian restaurant with mixed-up courses, the scrapbooking day in Centreville. So much fun.
What a fun last hoorah! I am glad that you have enjoyed girl scouts so much. It is hard to see something end that has brought you so much happiness.
