I am in LOVE with camping...but not so much the bugs and snakes and creepy crawlies! Since it is Memorial weekend the family decided to go camping at Prince William National Park (I think that is what it was called). It was so fun to kind of start the summer out with camp songs, treats, and fire. The tent was really nice and roomy and we each had our own air matress. Lucy liked all the dogs around and digging freely as well as having her own chair before I came. I came at about 10:00 because they had gone before I had gotten home from Busch Gardens. We had a really beautiful walk in the morning and I got to sleep in to. Amusement parks really tire you out, especially if you wake up at 4 am to leave at 5. Potatoes, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and tropical fruit juice made the icing on the cake.
P.S. My teacher that came with us to Busch Gardens found out that Fairfax County Schools decided to end 2 days early which includes the weekend meaning we get out Friday the 13th instead of Tuesday the 17th. That is like the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake!!!

Sweet to be getting out of school earlier than you thought!! When does that happen? Sounds like camping was fun!
I was reading online about how Fairfax was considering cutting the year short; I'm glad to hear you guys are doing it. I remember when I came out a few years ago, we didn't start RecPAC until the end of June because of how late school got out.
Yeah for camping! We are hoping to get up to Yellowstone this summer before we don't know where we're moving.
oh, i am so jealous, camping was definitely a highlight of last summer. i don't think we will make it camping this year...
I LOVE camping.. we are definitely getting out his year, but I like camping with our family most. You can't bea the silly songs, and stories that come out when we are all together. Awesome about school too, but I still think June 13 is too late.
